These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of PiklUp. PiklUp is a platform that helps pickleball players discover and communicate with other players. It is not a dating service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using PiklUp, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and meet any minimum age required where you live. Do not use PiklUp if your account was previously removed for a serious safety or conduct violation unless we authorize your return.
3. Accounts and profiles
Provide accurate information, maintain only accounts you are authorized to use, protect your credentials, and promptly report unauthorized access. Profile photos, playing information, DUPR rating, locations, preferences, and other content must not intentionally deceive other players.
4. Player interactions and in-person meetings
PiklUp does not organize, supervise, control, endorse, or guarantee interactions, games, facilities, or in-person activities between users. You decide whether, when, and where to meet another user. Exercise appropriate judgment and precautions, consider meeting at public facilities, protect personal information, and arrange your own transportation.
5. Physical activity risks
Pickleball and other physical activities involve inherent risks, including collision, falls, exertion, equipment-related injury, and serious injury. You are responsible for deciding whether you are able to participate, selecting appropriate conditions and equipment, and seeking professional medical advice when appropriate.
6. Conduct
Follow the Community Guidelines and applicable law. Harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination, impersonation, fraud, spam, scams, unwanted solicitation, sexually explicit or abusive content, and interference with the service are prohibited.
7. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant PiklUp a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and enforce the service. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit it.
8. Connections and messages
Connections, messages, Paddles, and Play Requests help players express interest and communicate. No user owes another a response, Connection, game, or explanation. Messaging becomes available only through approved connection paths. Do not misuse these features or evade blocks.
9. Premium services
Some features may require Premium access. Displayed price, billing period, renewal, cancellation, trial eligibility, and store terms presented at purchase govern a subscription. App-store billing and refund rules may also apply.
10. Reporting and blocking
You may report or block players using available safety tools. We may review reports, preserve relevant records, restrict accounts, and cooperate with lawful requests. Reporting does not guarantee a particular outcome.
11. Availability and changes
The service may change, experience interruptions, contain errors, or be discontinued. We do not guarantee that any player, feature, location, message, or result will always be available or accurate.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PiklUp is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, identity, safety, skill, compatibility, or results.
